Overheard in the breakroom.

I work in an institution that has a strong international presence. The diversity is one of the things I love about my job. I have a co-worker who is from a country where it is customary for women to keep their family names even after they're married, so it would follow that her son has her husband's last name. At the start of every school year, she has to remind a few people that if someone calls and asks for Mrs. [Husband's Last Name], they're wanting to speak to her. Today in the break room she was saying "My family name is important to me. I NEVER give up my family name for ANYONE, except for maybe George Clooney or something."
